Research and Development tax credits were first introduced into UK legislation in 2000 and since that date HMRC estimate that there are over 180,000 companies in the UK who are eligible to claim R&D tax credits but don’t - costing SME’s an estimated £12bn.  Recent changes to the legislation in the 2012 Budget have made the rewards even greater and it is the only UK tax credit currently that can result in cash being paid to your business, even if you are not in a corporation tax paying position yet.

In today’s tough economic environment can you afford to be missing out?  Come along to our workshop to understand who can benefit from this scheme, how HMRC define R&D, and assist you in obtaining the cash available if you are eligible.  This is not simply about a scientist in a laboratory, HMRC’s definition of R&D is far wider ranging and can include areas such as process improvements, change in manufacturing process, even changes in materials.

This workshop is sponsored by Jumpstart a science and technology company specializing in R&D Tax credits. They are staffed not only by accountants but by people who understand the R&D process itself from biologists to chemists and who can therefore help maximise your claim.

HMRC’s local R&D unit will also be present on the day to offer advice and help in ensuring you receive the money you and your business is entitled to.
